Onoto 100 years of writing perfection for collectors and connoisseurs
centenary

Onoto History

Since then there has been a loyal following for Onoto among collectors and connoisseurs of fine writing instruments. Continuing interest in the Onoto brand and a steady increase in the luxury pen market in recent years has resulted in the re-launch of Onoto in October 2004.

In June 2004, The Onoto Pen Company Limited, which had been set up by a group of Onoto enthusiasts in 1999, but had never traded, was acquired by James Boddy a British entrepreneur based near Norwich.

James' vision for the company was to resurrect it to its former position as a leading global brand, producing top quality pens and other related instruments. James has been joined by David Cooper, Managing Director, and by a world-class team of British craftsmen to create beautiful writing instruments which carry the Onoto name with as much pride and élan as their predecessors.
